My name is Meeri Tiensuu, and I’m a doctoral researcher at the Tampere Peace Research Institute (TAPRI), located at the Tampere University. I am a critical feminist peace researcher interested in intersections of inequalities. In my PhD, I focus on migrant integration and its connections to forms of violence and everyday peace through co-creative methods. I’m curios to reflect the connections between academic research and societal activism as a way to promote social justice.
This is my first year on ETMU as a Board member. On my spare time, you can find me spending time with my dog and my friends, buying new plants or dancing under a disco ball.
