I am Hanna Ennser-Kananen and the hairy Huy next to me is a sculpture at “my” university in Jyväskylä, where I have the pleasure of working as a post-doc in Applied Linguistics.

In my current research, I am trying to understand intersections of language, knowledge, race, and religion, particularly in schools. For instance, I am interested in what and whose knowledge counts, how that is negotiated, and what opportunities for epistemological disobedience exist.

Within ETMU, I am part of the Board’s academic activities team this year and I am excited to see our ideas take shape, so stay tuned for more!
