I am Iida Kauhanen, a Ph.D. researcher at the University of Oulu. Before starting as a full time Ph.D. researcher, I was working as a preparatory teacher for immigrant children in a lower secondary school.
My special interest is on the normalised practices that hinder possibilities of equal participation. On my Ph.D. I focus on the every-day experiences of young people who arrived in Finland as minors and were seeking for asylum without their primary caregivers.
This is my second year in ETMU’s Board. My spare time activities consist mostly of climbing and climbing related activities.
