Etmun yksi tärkeimmistä toimintamuodoista on vuosittain järjestettävä etnisten suhteiden ja kansainvälisen muuttoliiketutkimuksen konferenssi eli ETMU-päivät. ETMU-päiviä on järjestetty vuodesta 2004. Päivät kokoavat yhteen eri tieteenalojen tutkijoita ja toimijoita Suomesta ja ulkomailta.
