I am Ilkhom Khalimzoda. I have many topics that interest me starting from Central Asian intellectual history, communication privacy across cultures, media use, integration, (de)radicalization to intercultural communication. But my current doctoral dissertation topic at the University of Jyväskylä is the role of mass media use and host language proficiency in the acculturation process of Russian immigrant entrepreneurs in Finland and Latvia. I intend to examine how conflicting media landscape and host language proficiency of immigrant influence their socio-cultural adaptation.
Being just a member of ETMU in 2018, I started the year 2019 as a vice board member concentrating more on societal relations.
